Qatar - GCC-wide participation at AgriteQ, EnviroteQ 2022

The ninth Qatar International Agricultural exhibition (AgriteQ) and the third Qatar International Environmental Exhibition (EnviroteQ), being held at the Doha Exhibition and convention Centre has enjoyed the sponsorship of 16 official entities, banks and local companies as part of their corporate social responsibility strategy. Baladna, the strategic sponsor, has a pavilion showcasing its various food products as part of its commitment to achieve self-sufficiency in food in the country according to Qatar National Vision 2030.
Qatar Development bank is the development sponsor, as part of its support to the small and medium companies in the agriculture, livestock, fisheries and food industries sector. It also offers different ways of support to the entrepreneurs in the major sectors within the food security field. Hassad Food Company, Al Meera Consumer Goods Company and LuLu Hypermarkets Qatar are the gold sponsors. The Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, Qatar Chamber, Agrico Qatar, and Qatar Islamic Bank are the bronze sponsors. Vodafone Qatar is the official technological sponsor, and Rayyan Company the official water sponsor. Other sponsors include Qatar Airways, Qatar Tourism, Sheraton Grand Doha, Talabat and Al Sulaiteen Company.
Mohamed Ali al-Khuri, head of the organising committee, expressed his thanks and appreciation to all the sponsors and participants at the event organised by the Ministry of Municipality and the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change. The experts and officials participating in the exhibitions stressed that the GCC countries and companies have a considerable presence in the current edition, which is considered a broader platform to exchange ideas and experiences and explore the latest solutions and innovation in the agriculture and environmental fields.
The exhibitions are also considered a good opportunity to review the latest technologies and innovations in such two major sectors, which are directly linked to the targets of food security and sustainable development in the region. Further, the participating GCC companies and establishments have expressed their full satisfaction about the hospitality, which stressed the unity of the GCC efforts in this field. The exhibitions are also set to witness the signing of major deals among both government entities and private sector companies and other GCC and international investors to further enhance the field.
Abduallah al-Shareem, representative of a Saudi Company, pointed out that the Qatari market is a promising place and constitute an attractive investment environment. He also considered the participation of his company as part of the growing co-operation between Qatar and Saudi Arabia in all fields. Massomah al-Qattan, representative of a Kuwaiti Company, highly appreciated the organisation of the event and the multiple opportunities it would offer, and considered is as an important platform for enhancing GCC co-operation in the field. Sultan Misslam, representative of an Omani Company, said that the exhibition further opens new horizons of commercial cooperation among the countries of the region and the world in related fields.
