Ukraine - Donbas update: Invaders attack six times on Dec 8


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian military reported six ceasefire violations by the Russian occupation forces in eastern Ukraine.

This was reported on Facebook by the press service of the Joint Forces Operation Headquarters, according to Ukrinform.

The occupiers are reported to have fired grenade launchers of various systems, large-caliber machine guns, and other small arms toward the village of New York.

Near Novo-oleksandrivka, the enemy fired twice, employing grenade launchers, large-caliber machine guns, and other small arms.

In the direction of Svitlodarsk, Russian mercenaries opened fire, also twice, using easel-mounted anti-tank and automatic easel-mounted grenade launchers, as well as small arms.

Close to Luhanske, the enemy engaged Ukrainian defense positions with easel-mounted anti-tank and automatic easel-mounted grenade launchers.

The JFO Command reported no casualties as a result of yesterday's attacks.

Ukrainian troops returned fire and forced the enemy to cease further attacks, the report says.

As of 7:00 Kyiv time on December 9, no new truce breaches were reported across the Joint Forces Operation zone.

Joint Forces keep monitoring the situation along the line of contact and remain ready to repel and deter Russia's armed aggression.
