Qatar - World's oldest person dies at 124


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Manila: Francisca Susano, the oldest person in the world, died at the age of 124 in Kabankalan city in the Philippines.

According to the official documents, Francisca was born on Sep. 11, 1897.

Guinness World Records had still been carrying out age verification as of September to declare her the world's oldest living person.

Kabankalan City press office stated that Francisca was the last surviving person born in the 19th century.

The cause of death has not yet been determined, but the Department of Health in Philippines emphasized that Francisca had not exhibited any symptoms of Covid-19.
