Iraq: Crude exports surpass 92 mln barrels during September
(MENAFN) Iraq exported 92.42 million barrels of crude oil last month, adding proceeds of around USD6.71 billion, stated the country’s Ministry of Oil on Friday, Oct. 1.
A ministry report, quoting statistics of the State Organization for Marketing of Oil showed that the average selling price for crude oil in the past month stood at USD72.61 a barrel.
The report noted that around 89.22 million barrels were exported from oil fields in central and southern Iraq through the Port of Basra, whereas around 2.92 million barrels from the northern province of Kirkuk through the Turkish port of Ceyhan on the Mediterranean, in addition to exporting 275,274 barrels to bordering Jordan in the cited month.
It further said that crude oil exports for the month were at an average of 3.08 million barrels a day.
