Ukraine- Deposit Guarantee Fund completes payments to depositors of Bank Khreschatyk


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The Deposit Guarantee Fund has completed payments to the depositors of PJSC CB Khreschatyk, according to the Fund's press service.

On October 2, 2020, the Deposit Guarantee Fund submitted documents for the liquidation of PJSC CB Khreschatyk to the state registrar of legal entities, individual entrepreneurs and public organizations to record the termination of the bank as a legal entity.

'Thus, the payment of guaranteed refunds to depositors of PJSC CB Khreschatyk has been completed. More than UAH 2.7 billion has been received by depositors of PJSC CB Khreschatyk within the payment of guaranteed refunds," the Fund informed.

As reported by Ukrinform, on April 5, 2016, the National Bank of Ukraine declared Bank Khreschatyk insolvent and transferred it to the management of the Deposit Guarantee Fund. In June 2020, the Fund began the process of liquidation of the bank. On April 3, 2019, the court overturned the liquidation of the bank, but in late May, the Supreme Court confirmed the legitimacy of bank's liquidation.
