Turkish fighter killed by terrorists in Northern Iraq

(MENAFN) According to the Turkish National Defense Ministry on Sunday, a Turkish fighter was killed in a fight with terrorists in Operation Claw-Tiger zone in northern Iraq.
The ministry offered condolences to the family of the fighter and the Turkish nation.

Turkey's operations Claw-Tiger and Claw-Eagle were introduced last week to confirm the safety of the Turkish people and borders by neutralizing the danger of the PKK and other terrorist groups, who often use northern Iraq to plan cross-border hits.

In its more than 30-year terror campaign against Turkey, the PKK, recorded as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and EU, has been responsible for the deaths of 40,000 people, including women, children, and infants.
