Türkiye Strengthens Ties with Baltic Nations
(MENAFN) Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan took part on Friday in a Türkiye-Baltic countries summit held in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania.
According to the Turkish Foreign Ministry, the gathering brought together Fidan, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budrys, Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna, and Latvian Deputy Foreign Minister Artjoms Ursulskis.
During his visit, Fidan also met with Rasa Budbergyte, deputy speaker of the Lithuanian parliament and chair of the Committee on European Affairs, in addition to other members of the parliament.
The Turkish foreign minister conducted separate discussions with Budrys and Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen.
Furthermore, Fidan engaged with representatives of the Tatar and Karaim communities in Vilnius, emphasizing Turkey’s outreach to minority groups in the region.
