Sri Lanka- Chandrika Kumaratunga steps down as ONUR Chairperson
(MENAFN- Colombo Gazette) Former President Chandrika Kumaratunga today resigned from her post as chairperson of the Office for National Unity and Reconciliation (ONUR).
ONUR said that the staff of the Office for National Unity and Reconciliation bid good bye to its Chairperson, Madam Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga.
Kumaratunga was the Former President of Sri Lanka and the heart of ONUR which was established in 2015.
"With a heavy heart we bid Farewell to the leader who showed us that the secret to success lies in simple things like hard work and perseverance," ONUR said in a statement.
It was through her drive and vision that the organization succeeded to achieve all it has within the short span of four years. (Colombo Gazette)
