Pakistan- Nowshera: Kheshgi Payan residents demand sports ground

NOWSHERA: Residents of Kheshgi Payan village in district Nowshera demanded the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government to construct sports ground for the promotion of sports activities.

According to correspondent TNN, the area of ​​Kheshgi Payan is spread over a wide area and here population, especially youngsters, are taking an active part in sports activities.


However, their hopes are dashed when they realize that there is no proper sports ground in their area. People of the area have devoted some part of the land to sports activities in view of youth enthusiasm, but due to lack of facilities such as sports ground, the players do not get proper sports training.

Young players from the area come to this place daily at noon, while people turn to this ground to enjoy the sports competitions.

Noorul Amin, a resident of Kheshgi Payan, who teaches at the Government Primary School, said during a talk with TNN that he comes to the ground daily to spend some time here as a recreation.

Amin said that it is very important for children and young people to participate in sports activities as it is good for the growth of their minds but unfortunately there is no proper ground or other facilities in their area. He also said that he organizes cricket and other sports tournaments every year with the help of donors from the area to promote positive activities in the area. Another person, Hamid Ali, told TNN that young people come in large number to the ground, but there are no proper facilities which a playground usually has.

Aamir Afridi, a resident of Kheshgi, mentioned lack of ground in the area, saying that if the ground is made in their area then the players from here can play at the international level because here youngsters have the talent and they also love sports. A

Aamir also said that sports activities keep young people safe from bad addictions and unsocial habits, therefore, he demanded that the sports ground be built in his area as soon as possible so that the youth could practice properly and develop their talent.
