2 apprehended in Morocco over terrorism linked charges

The Moroccan police said on Saturday that 2 suspects were arrested over charges of financing terrorism and giving funds to Moroccan fighters in Syria and Iraq.

The 2 suspects are siblings and were apprehended on Wednesday in Meknes city around 140km for the southeast of Rabat the capital.

Investigations showed that they have opened bank accounts to get funds and send them to fighters in Iraq and Syria.

One of the suspects had a contact with an Iraqi citizen who was arrested in Casablanca on the 6th of February for association with similar suspicious financial activities.
