31 Indian School Ghubra students visit US, attend camp at Kennedy Space Center
Thirty-one students of Indian School Ghubra (ISG) went on a ten-day educational trip to the United States of America during the summer vacation.
The highlight of the trip was the camp at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. It was a steep learning curve for the students at the camp as they had hands-on experience in coding and robotics. The visit to the Rocket Garden at the Kennedy Space Center acquainted students with the many rockets launched through the years. At the museum, they were awestruck by the exhibits, related to space missions. Lunch with an astronaut, Jon McBride, was an unforgettable experience.
The visit to Disney World, Ripley's Museum, and Universal Studios in Orlando were like dream come true for the students. The next stop was the Niagara Falls. The majestic beauty of this wonder of nature left the students spellbound as they took a boat ride almost into the crashing waters.
A guided tour of Washington DC gave the students an overview of the seat of the government of the country. A visit to the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum was also highly enjoyed by the students.
The tour ended with a tour of New York where they enjoyed the sights of the world renowned spots such as the Times Square, One World Trade Center and the Statue of Liberty.
