Lithuania commences major Iron Wolf military drills


(MENAFN) Lithuania announced on Sunday the launch of its most major international military drills during the second half of 2018: Iron Wolf.

Troops from 14 countries are to join the international military drill, which has commenced for the improvement of mobility.

The two-week drills will also be joined by approximately 3,500 soldiers as well as 1,000 units of military hardware, the Lithuanian army confirmed.

The army added that the exercise is to cover "civil territories and their surroundings" along with movement of military hardware on public roads, and not just military polygons.
