(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Sept 24 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Assistant Foreign Minister for Consular Services, Ambassador Sami Al-Hamad affirmed on Monday the importance of bilateral relations with the Republic of Georgia.
In a press statement during his participation in the national day reception at the Georgian embassy, Al-Hamad emphasized the relations between both countries are governed by several agreements, expressing the aspiration to coordinate further and exchange visits.
On the other hand, Georgian ambassador Roland Biredze said Kuwaiti-Georgian relations are ideal based on the common approach of international issues, pointing to mutual understanding that peaceful cooperation is the cornerstone of continuous development.
Biredze praised Kuwait's supportive role to the sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity of Georgia and expressed his country's appreciation for the positive position of Kuwait under the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
He also noted the growing interest in Georgia by thousands of Kuwaitis who vacation in Tbilisi.
Biredze added his country looks forward to new opportunities to further develop close relations with Kuwait in various fields like trade, tourism, and cultural cooperation. (end) nma.ak.aq
