Partial Lunar Eclipse to Occur August 7 Evening in Morocco

(MENAFN- Morocco World News) Rabat – Astronomy lovers in Morocco will feast their eyes on a partial lunar eclipse today, August 7, expected to peak at 7:20 pm and last until 9:51, according to astronomy site .

Much of the Eastern Hemisphere will be able to see a partial eclipse of the moon on August 7-8. The lunar eclipse will be visible from parts of Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia, marking marking the third of four eclipses in 2017.

Lunar eclipses usually either preceded by or followed by solar eclipses, which occur within two weeks on either side.

In this case, a full solar eclipse, with the moon traveling between the earth and the sun, will occur on August 21 and will be visible in Morocco.

A partial lunar eclipse takes place when the Earth moves between the Sun and the Moon without them aligning perfectly, leaving only part of the Moon's surface visible in the Earth's shadow.
