Oman- OUA Holidays and TREVSPO hold workshop on medical tourism

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- With an aim to increase medical tourism in Germany, TREVSPO along with OUA holidays held a workshop at Sheraton Oman Hotel recently.

Travel agents from all over Oman were present at the half-day event that showcased medical facilities and tourism options in many cities in Germany mainly Stuttgart and Baden-Baden.

Speaking about the prospects of medical tourism in Germany, Hagen Fleisch, executive director of TREVSPO, said, 'Germany has world class facilities in medicines and various facilities. Although we are aware that there are many patients who prefer Thailand, Malaysia and India, I must say that there is indeed a surge of patients as well as tourists from the GCC in recent years. In 2016, there were almost 600,000 people who came to Germany. Known mainly for oncology, diabetics and paediatrics, Germany has many options for Arab patients including prayer rooms, translators and halal food.' He added that the services of Germany's professionals are of high end with the latest art of technology infrastructure.
