BOARDEX, THE RIGHT EXTERIOR SHEATHING FOR GULF CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS

(MENAFNEditorial) On account of its fibreglass sheathing and its water-repellent core, BoardeX is an insulating product that will resist attacks from weather without suffering the slightest alteration throughout the duration of structural works. This first board for exterior applications made by Lafarge Dalsan will be introduced to Gulf professionals during the Saudibuild tradeshow in Riyadh from November 10th to 13th, 2014.

Ever since Saudi Arabia has held the record in the amount of construction projects underway in the entire Gulf region, it has been paying special attention to technical advances in the sector; this has turned out to be an advantage for the new BoardeX product, whose construction system has been in wide use across the United States for many years.
As a backer board, BoardeX will save time on worksites and allow the integration of substantial layers of insulation to help buildings achieve the highest possible thermal performance. It can be covered with different kinds of cladding, as well as with a plain cement coating.
A non-flammable construction material (Class A1), BoardeX has the usual plasterboard system dimensions and allows for work to be performed on 40 and 60 cm axes. In addition, its bending resistance values are identical in both directions.
Being economical, lightweight and easy to handle, it is successfully challenging wood panels, cement boards and particle/cellulose-reinforced cement boards; it can easily be cut out using standard tools for drywall. In addition, it is resistant to wear and tear, warping, deterioration and other impacts likely to occur during storage.
While BoardeX provides better dimensional stability performance, it also enjoys effective water absorption resistance, for the total absence of organic elements precludes any mould formation. BoardeX is particularly suitable for damp rooms, and can be used without any problems in saunas and steam baths.
On the occasion of this, its first tradeshow in the Arabian Peninsula, LAFARGE DALSAN wants to take advantage of its geographic proximity (Ankara) to meet with key decision-makers in the Saudi Kingdom, as well as with materials distributors, building contractors and leading architect firms from the entire Middle-East.
