Three Injured in Household Gas Explosion in N China
Three residents were injured in a gas explosion in their apartment before dawn on Tuesday in north China's Shanxi Province, according to China's news Agency (Xinhua).
The gas explosion took place in an apartment in Huaihai residential quarter of Changzhi City, burning one person and leaving two others with slight injuries, said the city's press office.
The three injured people have been sent to hospital for medical treatment.
Initial investigation found that the gas explosion was caused by smoking in the apartment while the gas leaked.
Further investigation into the explosion is under way.
