Morocco, US officials explore ways to achieve peace in Africa


(MENAFN) Morocco and the US were declared to have explored ways to encourage the achievement of peace and stability in Africa.

The discussions have been made during a meeting in Rabat between Moroccan Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Mounia Boucetta and US assistant secretary of defense for international security affairs Robert Karem.

In a statement, the Moroccan Foreign Ministry confirmed both officials to have praised military and security cooperation among Morocco and the US.

Moroccan minister Boucetta was also said to have underlined the mediation efforts of his country in seeking a solution and averting crises in a number of African countries.
