Pakistan- Three drown as van falls into Swat River


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) SWAT: Three people drowned when a van fell into river in Swat on Friday, Police said.

Sultan Zareen, a resident of Laikot, was going for the Chehlum of his father when his van went out of his control and fell into river near Budi Karma bridge. Sultan Zareen and two other people sitting in the van drowned in the incident.

The rescue teams along with local people initiated efforts for retrieving the bodies from the river. The incident happened two days after a van fell into Swat River in Ramet Area in which nine people were killed.

Earlier, two people were killed and three others were injured in road accidents in Nowshera.

One person lost his life and two others sustained injuries in a head on collision between a rickshaw and flying coach in Amangarh area on Nowshera-Peshawar Road. The second incident occurred near Hakeemabad where a person was crushed to death by a speedy vehicle, while another was injured.

In yet another accident in Sheen Kamar area of Khyber tribal district, five people, including a child and a woman, sustained injuries when a car fell into a ditch.
