India: two die after car plunged into stone mine


(MENAFN) Police declared that two people have died when their vehicle plunged into a 200-metre deep stone mine in nearby Mahoba district.

Superintendent of Police of Mahoba district N Kolanchi confirmed: "The accident took place yesterday when Sunil Chaurasia (32) was imparting driving skills to his nephew Himanshu (19). "
He added: "As Himanshu was learning to drive, he failed to negotiate a truck coming from the opposite direction. Subsequently, he lost control over the car, and it fell into a 200-metre deep stone mine."

Himanshu has lost his life on the scene, while Sunil died of wounds on his way to Jhansi.
