(MENAFN) A man has been imprisoned after causing his grandmother serious knife injuries in the chest.
William Cuthbert, aged 29, was "off his head on drink and drugs" when he committed the crime, as she slept in their east Belfast house.
She sustained a laceration to her lung as well as defensive injury to her am.
Belfast Crown Court has handed Cuthbert 28 months sentence in jail along with further two years on licence.
