Congo: Ebola fever infects over seven


(MENAFN) Minister of Health Oly Ilunga declared that over seven new Ebola hemorrhagic fever patients have been recorded in the northwest Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

The minster added that the cases have been reported in the health zone of Iboko in Equateur province, one among the three health areas inflicted by the illness.

Up to 28 cases have been registered in Equateur since the official announcement of the outbreak.

The minister has sent out an Ebola vaccination campaign in efforts to control the epidemic.
