(MENAFN- Asia Times) A 33-year-old Filipino man was cleared of molestation charges after he allegedly kissed a female colleague at a train station in Dubai. On December 31 last year, the Filipino man shocked his 24-year-old Filipina colleague by kissing her, Khaleej Times reported.
The woman said the man was her supervisor at work and the pair had a meeting with a client that day. After the meeting, the man said he had a gift for the woman and told her to close her eyes.
While she had her eyes closed, the man unexpectedly kissed her. She pushed him away and he started apologizing and said he liked her. The woman went to Al Rashidaya police station and filed a complaint.
During interrogation, the man admitted to the charge. At the Dubai Court of First Instance, the public prosecution recommended to the court that the highest possible penalty be inflicted upon the man. However, the court cleared him of the charge.
