3 Taliban killed, 4 robbers held in Parwan, Faryab


(MENAFN- Pajhwok Afghan News) MAIMANAN/CHARIKAR (Pajhwok): Three Taliban militants have been killed and four robbers separately arrested in Faryab and Parwan provinces, officials said on Tuesday.

The three Taliban militants traveling in Sahara Qala lcoality of Khwaja Sabz Posh district were ambushed and killed by security forces, said Abdul Karim Yourash, Faryab€™s police spokesman.

He told Pajhwok Afghan News that security forces detained a Taliban commander in injured condition on his way for treatment to Jawzjan province. The detained Taliban leader belonged to Chamtal district of Balkh province.

Dur Taj Yemaq Khaliqi, the district administrative chief, confirmed the arrest of Mohammad Saleh in injured condition.

But the Khwaja Sabz Posh district chief Abdullah Masoumi had no information about the incident.

On the other hand, a 35 year old man killed in a traffic accident in Maimana, Faryab€™s capital on Monday night.

Elsewhere, four alleged robbers have been detained while stealing a corolla car in Jablus Siraj district of Parwan province, the district chief, Saifullah Baidar, said.

A security official, who wished to go unnamed, said the robbers were arrested on Monday in Pul Matak locality of the district. He further added the detainees had been involved in many other cases as well.
