(MENAFN) A government official declared that over ten people have died as another 12 were wounded in a bus crash,which was speeding and drifted off the road into a dry river bed in eastern India.
The driver couldn't control the bus and smashed into the bridge railing close to Sitamarhi town in Bihar state,according to Magistrate Raju Roshan.
Roshan added that relief operations are ongoing in the area located 85 kilometres north of Patna,the state capital.
Over 110,000 people die in accidents across India's roads every year.
