Police have reclassified the death of a 21-year-old woman whose body was found at home in Tseung Kwan O in the New Territories on Monday night from 'murder' to 'dead body found'.
The woman surnamed was found by her mother at 8pm on Monday in a flat at Kwong Ming Court in Tseung Kwan O, Apple Daily reported.

Cheung's mother returned home and found her daughter unconscious in the living room with her neck fastened by cable ties. Bloodstains were found in the living room, plus Cheung's bedroom and kitchen. Wounds were also found on the back of Cheung's head.
Police initially classed the case as 'murder' but after making inquiries they reclassified the case as 'dead body found'.
Officers checked surveillance camera footage and found Cheung left home at noon on Monday for coffee. She then appeared in a shop at 2:30pm and bought a bag of cable ties back home.
Half an hour later, she called her mother and said she was tired and asked her mother not to wake her up when she returns home.
At 8pm, Cheung's mother returned home and found her daughter lying unconscious in the living room.
Police officers found that no door or window had been pried open, and that there was no sign of a fight, or property being ransacked or lost from the flat. This led them to believe it may just be a case of "dead body found".
However, they have not ruled out the possibility of murder. So, a two-track investigation will be conducted simultaneously for the case.
An initial forensic examination revealed that Cheung suffocated by the cable ties but the actual cause of death will have to be determined by an autopsy.
Cheung, who was expelled by her previous school, studied hard later and obtained good academic results at CCC Kung Lee College. But she would have needed to take the Diploma of Secondary Education (DSE) next month, Sing Tao Daily reported.
It was also understood that Cheung had been suffering a mental illness and required regular medical treatment. However, she had not gone to receive that treatment since late last year.
