(MENAFN- Trend News Agency ) Donald Trump has blamed the FBI for the mass school shooting in Florida claiming the agency is preoccupied by the investigation into his team's ties with Russia, reports.
The US President has been criticised for his response to Wednesday's tragedy, failing to mention gun control in his remarks following the atrocity that left 17 staff and students dead.
Trump briefly met victims of the shooting and local police on Saturday before attending a fundraiser at his Florida mansion in Mar-A-Lago.
But late in evening he decided to hit out at the FBI in a tweet over the Parkland massacre.
"Very sad that the FBI missed all of the many signals sent out by the Florida school shooter. This is not acceptable," he wrote.
"They are spending too much time trying to prove Russian collusion with the Trump campaign - there is no collusion. Get back to the basics and make us all proud!"
