China's private investment escalated in 2017


(MENAFN) According to a data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), Private investment in China remained on the rise last year.

Private investment grew 6 percent on-year to 38.2 trillion yuan in 2017, up 2.8 percentage points from a year earlier.

An NBS official said: "The high growth rate indicated the central government's favorable policy in 2017 delivered positive results."

The country's economy ended last year with growth of 6.9 percent, higher than the 6.7 percent registered in 2016, the first acceleration in annual growth in seven years.
