Canada accused of wine sales discriminating

(MENAFN) Australia has filed a trade complaint accusing Canada of imposing "discriminatory" rules on the sales of imported wine.

As Canada is the fourth-biggest wine market in Australia, the country says the Canadian regulations unfairly disadvantage wines produced overseas.

Australian Trade Minister said: "In this case we've got a number of provinces in Canada that are putting in place pro-protectionist policies."

Australia has complained about rules in the province of British Columbia, where local wines can be sold in grocery shops but imported wine must be sold in a "store within a store".
