(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) BANNU: Residents of Janikhel tribe on Sunday staged a protest demonstration against declaring Bakakhel as new tehsil of the district and vowed that they would not be part of the new administrative set up.
Janikhel tribe's elders held a jirga and decided that the government has deceived some elders and got their signatures on an agreement under which Bakakhel was made new tehsil of the district.
Member KP Assembly and advisor to chief minister Shah Muhammad also criticized the provincial government for making a new tehsil and said that two union councils Janikhel were made part of the new set up.
Elders of Janikhel and Hindikhel urged the government to give them justice and withdraw the decision as they would not remain as part of Bakakhel tehsil.
