Pakistan- Court awards life imprisonment to FC man for killing student
(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) PESHAWAR, 28 November: A sessions judge in Peshawar has awarded life imprisonment to an FC man after charges of killing an engineering student at a check post in Hayatabad were proved against him.
On 8 July, 2014, FC personnel Shahzad Ahmed, hailing from Mansehra, signalled an engineering student Sajidullah Khan to stop at Hayatabad check post and opened fire on him when he did not stop. Sajid died on the spot in the incident. The FC man was subsequently arrested and a case was registered against him.
The court while concluding the case on Monday announced 25-year imprisonment for Shahzad and also imposed fine on him.
