LaVar Ball: UCLA athletes release had nothing to do with Trump

(MENAFN) Once inquired over the part President Trump played in the released of UCLA players, LaVar Ball replied "who?" Ball is the father of one of the three basketball athletes who got arrested over shoplifting in China.

Ball replied to the question ESPN asked "Who? what was he over there for? Don't tell me nothing. Everybody wants to make it seem like he helped me out."

LaVar Ball is the CEO of Big Baller Brand, the sports apparel firm, during the interview he lessened the role Trump had in releasing his son, LiAngelo Ball, along with his colleagues.

ESPN was informed by LaVar "as long as my boy's back here, I'm fine, I'm happy with how things were handled. A lot of people like to say a lot of things that they thought happened over there. Like I told him, 'They try to make a big deal out of nothing sometimes.' I'm from L.A. I've seen a lot worse things happen than a guy taking some glasses."
