Macau Grand Prix: motorcyclist killed in a crash


(MENAFN) In China at the Macau Grand Prix, the British motorcyclist aged 31 Daniel Hegarty has died after a crash. The local public broadcaster TDM reported that due to fatal injuries, he passed away before reaching the hospital.

The Macau Grand Prix Committee stated that the crash occurred Saturday morning at Fishermen's Bend and shared its "deepest sympathies" with his loved ones.

During a race, the motorcyclist was in the sixth lap when a sharp bend forced him to be thrown off his bike and tossed into barriers, due to the impact his helmet was gone and he suffered from critical injuries.
