It was understood that she vacationed in the Philippines from October 6 to 17 and complained of a fever, headache and muscle pain on October 24 after returning to Macau.

She first sought treatment at a private clinic and at Kiang Wu Hospital, and it was confirmed on Saturday that she had dengue fever after laboratory tests at the Macau University of Science and Technology Hospital.

The bureau will conduct mosquito-prevention measures in the neighborhood where the woman lives and works, Macau Daily News reported.
