Up to 26.000 Indians in Saudi Arabia aim amnesty


(MENAFN) The Indian diplomatic missions in Saudi Arabia have issued almost 26.000 emergency travel passes to Indian nationals in order to take advantage of the general amnesty by the government to return home.

According to Saudi officials who have made it clear that the 90-day grace period offered to the violators of residency and labor regulations to leave the nation without incurring penalties will not be extended.

In addition, 67 percent of people visiting the embassy were placed under the huroob (runaway) category and the embassy staff was trying to solve their issues as soon as possible.
