Saudi- King Salman Center Launches Dengue Fever Aid Campaign in Yemen

Aden, Rajab 2, 1438, Mar 30, 2017, SPA -- King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid has launched a humanitarian aid campaign as part of a dengue fever preparedness and response plan in six governorates in Yemen.
The Center is working with 'Oun' Development Foundation to provide intravenous fluids and supportive treatment to functioning health facilities in affected areas, and to conduct spraying activities in al-Hodaidah, Aden, Hadramout, Taiz, Lahj, and Shabwah governorates.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Public Health and Population in Yemen Dr. Ali Al-Walidi confirmed the importance of the medical assistance and services being provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The development foundation's executive director Abdul Ilah bin Othman said the project also provides rapid response training courses for doctors and health workers, including case identification and control of dengue fever.
