Giant Samsung Electronics to start selling renewed Note 7 devices


(MENAFN) S. Korean giant Samsung Electronics Co. said it is planning to sell restored versions of Galaxy Note 7 smartphones, after a year of pulling the smartphone from markets due to fire-prone batteries.

In previous October, Samsung launched global recall for Galaxy Note 7 phones, after two months from the launch of the near USD900 devices.

Analysts and researchers said there are no other problems found in the Note 7 devices except the batteries, confirming the Samsung will recoup some of its losses by selling the renewed devices.

According to a person familiar with the matter, he said that S. Korean giant is considering the possibility of selling renews devices or reuse some parts.
