(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- In recognition of its support for the Traffic Week Initiative, Bank of Beirut was recently awarded with a trophy handed over to Ramy Zambarakji, CEO, Bank of Beirut Oman, by the assistant general inspector for Administration & Financial Affairs at the Royal Oman Police in an official ceremony.

One of the sultanate's most successful traffic safety campaigns, Traffic Week encourages responsible behaviour among different segments of the society, so that all road users respect road safety rules in line with the highest international practices. It includes activities and initiatives aimed at deepening traffic awareness and making it part of a culture that positively reflects the government's efforts to reduce accidents and traffic violations. The trophy recognises Bank of Beirut's deep-rooted involvement in helping raise people's awareness in traffic safety issues, whether in limiting accidents or decreasing the mortality rate.

It endorses the bank's support for a new culture of safe driving that enhances the promotion of responsible traffic practices and safe driving habits.

Zambarakji said, 'We are proud to make traffic safety an integral part of our social investment programme. It reasserts our commitment to meaningful community development initiatives across all aspects of Omani life. The tragedies precipitated by preventable traffic mishaps affect us all. Our aim is to protect Oman's most valuable resource - its people.'
