Oman takes part in GCC monetary institutions' meeting in Bahrain


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- The sultanate represented by the Central Bank of Oman (CBO) will take part in the 67th meeting of the Committee of Governors of GCC Monetary Institutions and Central Banks, which is scheduled to be held in Manama, Bahrain today.

Oman's delegation to the meeting will be led by H E Hamoud Sangour al Zadjali, executive president of the CBO.

The meeting will discuss a number of issues related to supervising and monitoring of the GCC banking system.

The topics of discussion will include payment systems in the GCC, clearance and settlement of payments, technologies used in the GCC financial sector, money laundering and terrorism financing.
