Kuala Lumpur, Jumada I 29, 1438, Feb 26, 2017, SPA -- Malaysian media outlets shed light on the great interest paid to the current official visit paid by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to the country. The local media and press agreed on calling it a tremendous step towards bolstering distinct relations binding the two countries.
The daily "The Star" wrote that this visit would consolidate bilateral relations, especially, in commerce and communications among the two countries citizens, boosting the trade exchange volume, which is, annually, increasing, to the point that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia became among the leading commercial partners of Malaysia. It would also bolster tourism, for as many as 100,000 Saudis, annually, visit Malaysia.
For its part, the "New Straits' Times" pointed to the outstanding reception accorded to the visiting Saudi Monarch, indicating that shows the paramount clout of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Malaysian government as well as the people.
Malaysia, the paper went to say, adorned itself to receive the great guest, with roads and plazas, alike, decorated with flags, to express cordiality and appreciation of the Malaysian people to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the brethren people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The paper concluded by expecting that the visit would lead to more consolidation of bilateral relations, in all fields, as the two countries express aspirations to cement various aspects of constructive cooperation.
