Cambodia estimates economic growth in 2017 by 7%


(MENAFN) Economy and Finance Ministry officials in Cambodia stated that the country is estimated to post economic growth by 7% during 2017, which is the same rate as the country achieved last year.

Economy and Finance Ministry Secretary of State Vong Seyvisoth said: "We project the growth of 7 percent in 2017 and in the medium term."

Also, the ministry's reports showed that the country's gross domestic product (GDP) is expected to reach USD22b this year, as the GDP oer capita is forecasted to reach USD1,422.

Additionally, the director of the ministry's macroeconomic and fiscal policy department, said the industrial sector, mainly garment and construction, is projected to increase by 10.66% this year.
