83 companies showcasing products at Iranian expo


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- The third Iran Country Solo Exhibition opened at the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre on Monday under the auspices of H E Dr Ali bin Masoud bin Ali al Sunaidy, Minister of Commerce and Industry and Eng Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh, Iran's Minister of Industry, Mining and Commerce.

The exhibition is being organised by Omanexpo in collaboration with Iran's International Exhibitions Company. At least 83 companies covering diverse products ranging from handmade and machine-made products, home appliances, interior decoration and food products to medicinal, steel and metal, petrochemical products, power and industry-related equipment, construction materials and industrial machinery are participating in this five-day event.

Nader Abbas, general manager, Omanexpo, said, 'This event is a way by which we could help promote the high-quality products of Iran, pave the way for their expansion and increase their trade presence in identified markets in Oman. The exhibition will also open up opportunities for SMEs, manufacturers and distributors who are looking to increase their business prospects and expand their businesses.

'It is as well an avenue to support government initiatives to boost trade and commerce and strengthen economic relations between Oman and Iran.'

The exhibition will be open from 10am to 1pm and 5pm to 10pm till January 26 and from 4pm-10pm on January 27.
