Amman, Rabi'II 19, 1438, Jan 17, 2017, SPA -- Jordan's foreign minister Ayman Al-Safadi met in Amman today with the envoy of the Secretary General of the United States to Yemen Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the latest developments at the Yemeni arena and the efforts exerted to find a solution to the Yemeni crisis and achieve security and stability in the country.
Cheikh Ahmed briefed the minister on the UN efforts being exerted to end the crisis while the Jordanian foreign minister confirmed Jordan's support for those efforts and its hope that peace and stability be reached in Yemen according to the international references, including the UN secretary general's resolution No. 2216, the GCC initiative and the outcomes of the national dialogue.
