EU-Iran's trade up 63% in 9 months


(MENAFN) According to latest figures from the European Union's statistics agency, Eurostat, the amount of trade between Iran and EU reached 9.11b euro, an increase by 63% during the first nine months of 2016, comparing to January-September 2015 that posted 5.577b euro.

During the first nine months of 2016, EU's exports to Iran grew by 20% and reached 5.63b euro, from 4.679b euro in the same period of time in the previous year.

However, was released by Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and EU Foreign Policy Chief Federica Mogherini who visited Iran along with seven European commissioners showed that in mid-April, Iran and European Union issued a joint statement in Tehran, setting the road for cooperation.
