Norwegian Air plans to purchase more plans from Boeing

(MENAFN) Chief Executive for Norwegian Air Shuttle said that the carrier plans to order more aircraft from Boeing and Airbus after its Irish subsidiary received flying rights from US authorities.

The US Transportation Department granted those rights for the company after three years application process.

Bjoern Kjos said in an interview: "There is no doubt we'll need even more planes after this", and he added that he expects the airline to place orders from both Airbus and Boeing.

In addition, he stated: "We expect to start flying from Cork and Dublin already next summer with at least four weekly routes."
