(MENAFN) A 3.1 percent increase in gross insurance premiums was recorded by Omani insurance firms in the Jan-Sep period of this year, over the same period of 2015.
Additionally, the gross insurance premiums increased by OMR10.6mn to reach OMR357.2mn compared to OMR346.6mn for the same period of 2015.
Moreover, the increase in the total insurance premiums for the cited period of this year reflected positively in the net earned premium.
Despite variations in insurance premiums for many insurance products, still the individual life insurance has posted the biggest increase with 249.4 percent.
