UAE- WorldGovSummit Mohammed bin Rashid receives mayors and representatives of participating Arab and Foreign cities

DUBAI 10th February 2016 (WAM) -- Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum today received at Mina A'Salam Hotel a number of participating mayors and representatives of a number of Arab and foreign cities at the 4th World Government Summit in Dubai.

H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Deputy Ruler of Dubai attended the meeting.

The participants hailed the agenda of the summit especially the use of smart applications in exploring the future and increasing the happiness of the people considering the UAE a pioneer country in the Middle East and North Africa region in the implementation of these applications and utilising them for the sake of its people.

Sheikh Mohammed welcomed representatives of more than 14 Arab and foreign countries stressing that the UAE in general and Dubai in particular harness all their logistic and knowledge expertise in serving fraternal and friendly cities to contribute to making happiness for mankind.

Sheikh Mohammed approved the charter signed on the sidelines of the summit through focussing on exploring smart and sustainable future cities. The charter deals with ways to achieve happiness for populations in cities through focussing on health education services and environmental sectors among others.

The detailed presentation on the charter was delivered by Hussain Nasser Lootah Director-General of Dubai Municipality.

Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Gargawi Minister for Cabinet Affairs and Khalifa Saeed Suleiman Director-General of the Department of Protocol and Hospitality in Dubai attended the meeting along with a number of officials.
