Apple's market value hits USD700b

(MENAFN) US tech giant Apple's market value was raised to above USD700 billion, pushed by a rise in the company's shares and becoming the first firm to hit this milestone, AFP reported.

The maker of the iPhone and iPad is by far the world's most valuable company by stock market value, well ahead of Exxon Mobil at USD403 billion and Microsoft at USD394 billion.

'We believe the stars are well aligned for Apple to shine bright this holiday season,' said Cantor Fitzgerald analyst in a research note, adding that he expects to see heavy demand for the new iPhone models.
