Palestine- Israeli air attacks kill 25 people in Gaza


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) At least 25 people were killed and dozens of others wounded as the Israeli Air Force launched more attacks on Gaza Strip on Wednesday.

The last of the victims were Amjad Hamdan, in his 20s, and Sahar Al-Masri, her son, and a number of her relatives, who were killed in an air attack on Beit Hanon town, north Gaza Strip, local medical sources said this evening.

Earlier today Aisha Nejm and her two children Mohammad, 4, and Nedhal 6, and Salah Awadh Al-Nawasreh were killed when their home in Al-Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza Strip was hit by an Israeli missile.

Another air attack killed Mohammad Al-Nerah, 22, and Amir Arif 13, and injured four children in Al-Shuja'iya district, Gaza City, the sources said.

The rescuers retrieved from under debris in Khan Yunis town the bodies of a woman and her child, 2 years; Nermin Abdulghafour, one and half years; and a lady in her 20s. More than 18 people were injured in the attacks.

Besides the heavy human casualties, the Israeli air attacks also resulted in extensive material damage across the Strip.

In response, the Palestinian resistance groups in Gaza fired a volley of rockets into southern Israeli towns.

The rockets hit Rehovot town, about 20 km to the south of Tel Aviv, and Dimona in the Negev desert, and resulted in a yet to be specified number of casualties among the Israelis, according to Israel radio. The rocket barrage prompted the Israeli occupation authorities to halt the rail traffic between north and south Israel Ezz-Eddin Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas movement, claimed responsibility for the missile attacks this evening an vowed to continue the missile firing unless Israel ceases the air strikes on Gaza.
