(MENAFN - Khaleej Times) Show to be a stepping stone to movies for former cricketer who has been banned from the game
after months of negotiation and dilly-dallying former indian cricketer s. sreesanth has agreed to participate in the seventh edition of dance reality show jhalak dikhhla jaa.
the cricketer banned from playing for his alleged involvement in spot-fixing was initially hesitant to come on the show.
“sreesanth was approached two months ago after he was released from jail. jhalak dikhhla jaa wanted to provide him with a platform to tell his story about the spot-fxing allegations. sreesanth refused” said a source.
“we think at that time he thought he’d clear his name and get back to cricket. but after he was banned sreesanth softened towards the idea of doing the show” the source added.
“sreesanth sees jhalak... as a stepping stone to movies. and yes he will be talking about the spot-fixing charges” said the source.
another contestant who has been finalised is actor purab kohli. sukhwinder singh sophie choudry and popular tv faces karan tacker and mouni roy are also likely to join the show.
